2024 TUPELO ELVIS PRESLEY FAN CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
About the Music Scholarship:
Diane Whitt, club member (and popular local teacher) dreamed of a music scholarship for a deserving senior. Our club embraced the idea and the rest is music history! Our scholarship is open to all graduating Mississippi high school seniors. Each spring, a panel of judges reviews submissions and narrows it down to ten finalists who perform live for our club. A vote is taken and the winner is announced on-stage.
RULES:
You must be a resident of Mississippi and enrolled as a senior at a Mississippi high school and be graduating in 2024.
You must sing, dance, or play a musical instrument and submit a performance video for review by the selection committee by uploading to YouTube (do not mail in DVDs).
If chosen as a semi-finalist you will be invited to perform live at the Finale to be held in Tupelo, MS in March or April 2024.
You MUST be able to perform at the Live Finale or otherwise forfeit. (Travel expenses WILL NOT be provided.)You must be going to attend college, but it is not required that you be enrolled in a musical program. Any Community College or 4-Year University of your choice is acceptable.
You must enter into a contract detailing the Scholarship winnings with the Tupelo Elvis Fan Club.
WINNERS WILL BE SELECTED IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES:
1st Place – $5,000.00
2nd Place – $3,000.00
3rd Place – $2,000.00
Completed applications MUST be submitted by February 14, 2024.
Semi-finalists will be notified by email or by a call to the email and/or phone number that you provide on this form.
Finalists will perform in Tupelo, MS. The winner and the two alternates will be selected through a panel of judges. Final judging will be based solely on performance.
These scholarships are made possible by the sales of the Mississippi Elvis Auto Tag available at any Mississippi Tax Collector’s Office.
