The Tupelo Elvis Festival held annually in Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of the King of Rock ‘N Roll was recently selected as one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for 2014.

The Southeast’s only international festival in honor of Elvis Presley; Tupelo, Mississippi’s native son, with the exception of Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The internationally attended festival was started in 1999 as one of the only eleven festivals within the United States officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises and includes an Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Preliminary Round as part of the event. Along with Elvis music, the Elvis Festival is known for their top country music acts that perform in Fairpark Friday and Saturday night. The Saturday night attendance had a 25% increase from the year before. Other events during the festival include a Miss Elvis Festival Pageant, Carnival Midway, Elvis Look-A-Like Pet Parade, Running with the King 5k and Fling with the King Disc Golf Tournament. Spanning six blocks of historic Downtown Tupelo, the Tupelo Elvis Festival welcome people from all over the country and world.
