2015 Tupelo Elvis Festival "Queen for a King" Pageant

The Tupelo Elvis Festival is proud to present the 2015 “Queen for a King” pageant. The pageant will be held Saturday, April 25th at 6pm at the Tupelo Middle School Civic Auditorium located at 1009 Varsity Drive. The pageant has been a long time staple of the festival, in which the crowned Miss Tupelo Elvis Festival will be a guest and Ambassador at the 2015 Festival is June.

Participants are divided into eight age divisions ranging from birth to age 21. Entry fee for each participant is $30.00 with an additional $10.00 fee for the photogenic category. Pre-registration is encouraged until April 17th. Applications may be downloaded at www.tupeloelvisfestival.com or can be picked up at the Tupelo Elvis Festival office at 108 South Broadway Street in Downtown Tupelo. On-site Registration will be available on April 25th from 4 – 5:30pm at the Civic Auditorium.

The 2015 “Queen for a King” pageant is sponsored by TJ’s Pageant in Fulton, MS, the Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau and Visit Mississippi.

UETA Ticket Packages Available January 27th

The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association is excited to celebrate the 17th anniversary of the Tupelo Elvis Festival, which will be held June 4 - 7, 2015. The preparation began shortly after the 2014 festival and there is a lot to look forward to.

After an overwhelming success at the BancorpSouth Arena last year, the Tupelo Elvis Festival is excited to welcome fans from around the world back to the 2015 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Preliminary Competition. 2015 contestants will compete to represent Tupelo, Mississippi in the 2015 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition in Memphis, Tennessee. Each night former Tupelo winners will perform their tribute to the King of Rock n’ Roll.

For a limited time, pre-sale ticket packages will be available to purchase Tuesday, January 27th at 9:00 a.m. Central Time for all customers (walk-in and phone). Tickets can be purchased at the Tupelo Elvis Festival office located at 108 South Broadway Street in Downtown Tupelo or by calling 662-841-6598.

These tickets will be available Tuesday, January 27th through February 6th. Individual tickets will be available at the BancorpSouth Arena Box Office and www.ticketmaster.com at a later date.

Tupelo Elvis Festival Announces Exciting Fairpark Line-Up

The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association is excited to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the Tupelo Elvis Festival, which will be held June 5-8, 2014.  The preparation began shortly after the 2013 festival and there is a lot to look forward to.

Tupelo Elvis Festival Named STS Top 20 Event

The Tupelo Elvis Festival held annually in Tupelo, Mississippi, the birthplace of the King of Rock ‘N Roll was recently selected as one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for 2014.

 

The Southeast’s only international festival in honor of Elvis Presley; Tupelo, Mississippi’s native son, with the exception of Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The internationally attended festival was started in 1999 as one of the only eleven festivals within the United States officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises and includes an Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Preliminary Round as part of the event. Along with Elvis music, the Elvis Festival is known for their top country music acts that perform in Fairpark Friday and Saturday night. The Saturday night attendance had a 25% increase from the year before. Other events during the festival include a Miss Elvis Festival Pageant, Carnival Midway, Elvis Look-A-Like Pet Parade, Running with the King 5k and Fling with the King Disc Golf Tournament. Spanning six blocks of historic Downtown Tupelo, the Tupelo Elvis Festival welcome people from all over the country and world.

 

Since 1985 the Southeast Tourism Society has published the Top 20 Events.  Each month, hundreds of the best events across the Southeast can compete to be named a Top 20 Event.  Southeast Tourism Society publishes the list of winners quarterly and sends the list to over 300 newspapers, magazines, radio stations, TV stations and others, as well as 125 AAA publications.  The combined circulation runs into the millions.  STS Top 20 Events are also published on the Southeast Tourism Society web site at www.southeasttourism.org.

 

Founded in 1983, the Southeast Tourism Society is dedicated to the promotion & development of tourism to its member states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.  The membership includes state travel offices, attractions, hotels, motels, resorts, convention & visitors bureaus, airlines, bus companies, car rental agencies, newspapers, magazines and other travel related organizations.

Tupelo Elvis Festival Makes Move to the BancorpSouth Arena

The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association is excited to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the Tupelo Elvis Festival, which will be held June 5 – 8, 2014. The preparation began shortly after the 2013 festival and there is a lot to look forward to.

The Tupelo Elvis Festival is known worldwide for the Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA) Concerts and Competition that have taken place at the Lyric Theatre in previous years. The festival staff is excited to announce the ETA Concerts and Competition will move to the BancorpSouth Arena for the 2014 festival. The new venue will allow for more fans to attend the events and support their favorite ETA’s.

2014 contestants will compete to represent Tupelo, Mississippi in the 2014 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition in Memphis, Tennessee. Each night former Tupelo winners will perform their tribute to the King of Rock n’ Roll. The performers include Brandon Bennett, Bill Cherry, Cody Slaughter and Jay Dupuis.

For a limited time, pre-sale ticket packages will be available at the Tupelo Elvis Festival office. These tickets will be available Tuesday, January 21st through January 31st. Walk in customers can secure tickets at 9 am central at the Elvis Festival office located at 108 S. Broadway Street in Downtown Tupelo. Customers may purchase by phone, 662-841-6598, starting at 10 am central on the 21st. Individual tickets will be available at the BancorpSouth Arena Box Office and www.ticketmaster.com February, 10th.

Jay Dupuis Makes Top 10 in Memphis

Jay Dupuis, Winner of the Tupelo Elvis Festival makes it to the Top 10 in Memphis during competition on Wednesday, August 14th.  Here is a picture of Jay during his performance singing "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me!"

 

The top ten finalists will compete for the title of 2013 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist on Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. The group will be narrowed down to the top five, before the ultimate winner of the contest is announced.

Jay Dupuis Represents Tupelo in Memphis

Elvis Presley Enterprises will host the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition in Memphis, TN this week.  The first round of competition will be held Wednesday, August 14th and the Finals will be held on Saturday, August 17th at the Cannon Center.  The Tupelo Elvis Festival is proud to have Jay Dupuis represent them in Memphis this year.
